colored mashed potatoes

ingredients - serves 2
  • 500 g (1,1 lb) potatoes
  • 200 ml (7 fl oz - 3/4 C) milk
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • Butter
  • Salt

Steam potatoes and peel them when they are still hot. Purée them and put in a saucepan together with milk and the quantity of butter you prefer. Cook over a medium heat, stirring frequently until the ingredients mix well and the mixture has the right thickness. Just before switching off the gas, you have to add ketchup and to season to taste with salt.
The dish is ready.
