Variations and note

You can serve it at any time. Optional a dash of Angostura Bitters. You can also use the hurricane glass. There are many variations of the same cocktail. In fact some bartenders prefer this recipe: 5/10 Dark Rum, 3/10 orange juice, 1/10 lemon juice, 1/10 Grenadine and naturally Soda Water. They decorate with an orange slice, some pieces of pineapple and a cocktail cherry on a stick. Other bartenders use White Rum and then add some drops of dark one over the surface before serving. This cocktail was created in Jamaica in 1879 to celebrate the opening of the Myers's rum distillery.
