How to make it
Place some ice cubes in the mixing glass and add the two ingredients. Mix for few seconds with the bar spoon and pour into the glass. Decorate with a green olive. The cocktail is ready.
Variations and note
You can substitute the green olive squeezing a lemon rind over the surface; but you can also decide not to decorate this cocktail. Many people like it on the rocks. It's a pre dinner cocktail. This is the dry version. It was invented in 1912 by an Italian, Mr Martini from Arma di Taggia, who worked at Knickerbocker Hotel in New York.
