The modern classification for cocktails is well known, they are divided into 4 groups: pre dinner (they are served before the meal), after dinner (they are served after the meal), fancies (non alcoholic cocktails, champagne cocktails, cup, egg-nog, flip, fizz, sangria, cobbler ...) and long drinks (they derive from old and new short drinks and are diluted with soda water or sparkling wine; you can serve them all day).
